TAMAM Mission Statement

To organize and mobilize individuals to engage in community service as a collaborative effort, based upon Islamic principles of charity and compassion.

Today, TAMAM is a diverse group of people of various religions, races, ages, and genders, who share a common passion to support each other in community service.  Some projects TAMAM has championed, but are not limited to, are:

Annual Eid Toy Drive – Every Ramadan, toys donated at our annual public toy drive are wrapped and distributed by TAMAM to needy children throughout the Triangle area

Annual School Supply Drive – At the start of every school year, TAMAM raises school supplies for a Title I or other low-income school in our community

Refugee Settlement – Working in conjunction with federal sponsors, TAMAM sets up the first apartment for refugees from all parts of the world, welcomes and transports the family to their new home and provides an initial hot meal and basic necessities

Clothes Drives – TAMAM has conducted clothes drives for area organizations such as Note in the Pocket, which provide clean and appropriate clothes for school children and their families

Meals for the homeless – TAMAM prepares and serves meals on a regular basis to the homeless, refugees, and the elderly in the Triangle and has prepared and distributed care packages

Raising awareness and funds for good causes – TAMAM has entered as a team in various walks and races to raise awareness and money for different medical conditions

As we move forward, TAMAM continues to seek opportunities to provide assistance to the needy in the community. By continuing our efforts and also by partnering with other non profit organizations in the Triangle area, we strive to expand our reach and help more in our community.
